Think Pink, Baby!

Our fearless leader, Sara, is teaching her very first class this weekend at a crop named Scrap Pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. National Breast Cancer Awareness month is October, and this year marks the 25th anniversary of this event. Such an auspicious occasion needs a little bigger celebration, don't you think? So, we here at All Things Unity, decided we would start the observance of breast cancer awareness a little early!

Here are some samples from the Design Team to get you thinking in that direction:

We'd love for you to join us in celebrating!! Create your next Unity stamp project (anything you can stamp with Unity is acceptable - including the ippity line) and upload it here. USE THAT PINK!! Make it sweet, joyous or in remembrance of someone. Tell us the STORY about what inspired you to make that project, how breast cancer has touched your life, anything you do to help improve awareness, your plans for October related to breast cancer... Get the idea?? Good!!

Hey - and don't forget the men out there when you're spreading the word about awareness. Did you know that 1% of men will be diagnosed with breast cancer? Seems a small number, until it happens to you. You can learn more about Men's Breast Cancer at the Breast Cancer Awareness website, or at Out of the Shadow of Pink website. If you prefer to do a blue Unity project for BCAM for this challenge, and tell how you will spread awareness for men's breast cancer, you too will be entered in the drawing.

You'll have until midnight October 2 to get your entry posted. Those who link their project here, using pink or blue, and telling their story will be eligible for the drawing of a Suzi Blue by Unity stamp of their choice from Limelight! and a matching $10 donation in their name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation!! Woohoo!!!

So let's get this party started EARLY and get the word out!! October 2, midnight deadline... GO!
